Castle Vision is a home video company responsible for the UK and Australian VHS releases of TUGS. A total of five home videos covering the entire series were produced. Some of the videos were later re-released in the UK with updated covers, most of them distributed under the Playbox range.

Episode groupings for each video are as follows:

All five volumes are long out-of-print.

Trivia

  • Castle Vision is infamous for the VHS releases being in horrendous quality, including the sound for the Australian releases. The company was also known for misleading its target audience (being older children) away from TUGS with the slogan, "From the producers of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends" on all their VHS covers.
  • The Australian trailer makes no mention of the mature titles but only advertises Tugs, The Raggy Dolls and Tumbledown Farm. The Raggy Dolls tapes are the only actual Australian releases advertised here. The UK releases of the other two shows are displayed as the U symbol is still visible on the covers.
  • In June 1988, to help promote their launch, Castle Vision produced a VHS tape to showcase various shows they had acquired for their launch party. The end of the tape contained their announcement for their acquisition for TUGS. Most interestingly, though, it featured a trimmed down version of the Sizzle Reel.
