Masashi Ebara was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, 4th May 1953. He is also currently the voice of James, the Thin Clergyman and the Magician in TUGS' sister show, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and had before provided the Japanese dubbing for Mr. Conductor in its first movie, "Thomas and the Magic Railroad". He is iconically known for providing the Japanese voices of various Hollywood actors in many of their different films, most notably people like Tom Hanks and Wesley Snipes. He voiced for the Japanese dubbing of TUGS.
