Scuttlebutt Pete is a dredger and a notorious gossip - hence his name. He highly enjoys voicing superstitions, especially when there is fog around, such as the time he tells ghost stories to Big Mac in the episode Ghosts.
Although he can be generally grumpy, he is a good friend to the Star Tugs. However his work of dredger detail is an unpopular task with the tugs, which can easily give him a negative reputation.
He speaks with a Northern Irish accent.

- It is currently unknown where Scuttlebutt Pete's model is.
- It appears that his shovel could be removed for craning operations, as he is seen in episodes such as Warrior and Jinxed without it.
